As Nataraja He is the presiding deity of dance and music. He is the Male force in the Kundalini. Hanuman and Bhairava are two of His famous avataras. His consort Devi is the Feminine Mother force of the universe. His son Ganesha is remover of all obstacles and the ruler of all Vidyas. The two most holy rivers of India - Ganga and Narmada are associated with Him. He is the presiding deity of the Holy Himalayas and His consort Devi is the presiding deity of the Vindhyachala.
